Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Cobbling — including this website, the developer dashboard at dashboard.cobbling.ai, the documentation at docs.cobbling.ai, and the public REST API — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use our services. If you are using Cobbling on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

The service

Cobbling provides asynchronous PDF, image, and web-page conversion to Markdown for large-language-model pipelines. The service is provided on an as-available basis. Specific capabilities, rate limits, and SLAs are described in the documentation and may evolve over time.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice for material changes that affect paying customers.

Accounts

• Registration. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, and keep that information up to date.
• Credentials. You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and password. Do not share them, do not embed them in client-side code, and rotate them immediately if they may have been exposed.
• Activity on your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Process content you do not have the right to process — including copyrighted material without permission and personal data without a lawful basis.
• Scrape websites in violation of their robots.txt, terms of service, or applicable rate limits.
• Send malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, or probe for vulnerabilities.
• Resell, sublicense, or wrap our service in a way that competes directly with Cobbling.
• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or designed to harass or harm others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Fees and billing

• Pricing. Cobbling is offered as a $5/month subscription that includes 5,000 PDF pages and 1,000 web pages. Additional usage is billed at $0.005 per PDF page and $0.0001 per web page. Prices are listed on the pricing section and may be updated with 30 days' notice.
• Payment. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. Usage charges are billed at the end of each billing cycle. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all amounts owed.
• Taxes. Stated prices exclude applicable taxes. You are responsible for any sales, VAT, or similar taxes that apply in your jurisdiction.
• Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may issue prorated credits for service outages that breach a documented SLA.

Your content

You retain ownership of every file, URL, and piece of content you submit to Cobbling. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely to provide the service to you.

• We don't keep your sources. Original files are read once during processing and discarded. We do not retain the originals after the job completes.
• Results expire. Converted Markdown is retained for up to 5 days, after which it is no longer accessible via the API. Save anything you need to keep.
• We do not train on your data. Your content is not used to train models or sold to third parties. Period.

Our intellectual property

The Cobbling brand, website, dashboard UI, documentation, and proprietary parsing models are the intellectual property of Cobbling AI and are protected by copyright, trademark, and similar laws. These terms do not grant you rights to use our trademarks except where explicitly permitted in our brand guidelines.

Some components of the service are released under open-source licenses on GitHub; those components are governed by the licenses included in their respective repositories.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use Cobbling at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cobbling AI and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that exposes us or other users to legal or operational risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For material changes that affect paying customers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or in-product notification before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
